The Preacher's Wife

The Proverbs 31 Woman

Our pastor is the godliest person I know... and his wife is the perfect match for him.

Steve and Judy2

A wife of noble character who can find?
       She is worth far more than rubies.

Her husband has full confidence in her
       and lacks nothing of value.

She brings him good, not harm,
       all the days of her life.

She is so talented.  So creative.  So selfless.  So hospitable.  So kind.  So patient.  So funny.  So thoughtful.

She selects wool and flax
       and works with eager hands.

She opens her arms to the poor
       and extends her hands to the needy.

She speaks with wisdom,
       and faithful instruction is on her tongue.

She watches over the affairs of her household
       and does not eat the bread of idleness.

Her children arise and call her blessed;
       her husband also, and he praises her:

"Many women do noble things,
       but you surpass them all."

Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting;
       but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.

Give her the reward she has earned,
       and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.

She is someone I want to model myself after.  I've learned so much from her lead and from the way she lives her life.  She is the perfect Proverbs 31 woman.

And today is her 60th birthday!

Happy birthday, judy

This is really sweet. I'm pretty partial but I think they are great!I know they feel VERY lucky to have you and David in the church and you working at the church.

Why Jacquie, I'm overcome.....I thought you were talking about someone else...it was sort of like an out-of-body experience reading all that! har

You are much too kind and I do not even come CLOSE to what God wants me to be. If I have any characteristics of Jesus it is only because of Him; nothing that I have done. Thankfully, I feel He continually works on my heart and I need that!

Thank you for your very KIND words!You and your family are the best!
