The End of a Great Week

It's so hard to believe Christmas has come and gone. Yesterday, Kayla and I pretty much decided to just take a day and stay in our "jammies" and lay around watching movies and visiting with each other. We watched "Serendipity" and "Bella" (Have you seen that movie? Very sweet.)

We also took down all the Christmas stuff, which almost sent me spiralling into a depression. Oh, I really hate it when the tree comes down. I would keep it up all year long, but that would take away from the joy of having it up during the season.

By the end of the day, we felt a little sorry for the guys and ordered pizza and turned the TV to "Cops". (We laugh like crazy at some of the stuff people do!)

This morning we went to church and Judy took a couple of pictures of our family. Oh, how I love these people!

Then, we went to our favorite Mexican restaurant - where we eat every Sunday after church. Our waiter, Gabriel, is always our server and we've gotten to know him over the last couple of years. He brings our drinks, chips and salsa, guacamole and pica de gallo before we even ask each week. He's awesome. Last week for Christmas, he gave us our meal free of charge. This week, all five us us were there, and he surprised us with another free meal for the New Year. What a guy!

Kale and Kayla headed back to Fayetteville a couple of hours ago. It was so good having them here for these last several days, that it was HARD for me to let them go back today. They're so much fun to have around.

I hope you all had a Christmas filled with love and family and that your New Year will be happy and safe.

Sounds like a great day to me! I like to watch Cops and laugh too!
I took down our tree today and our living room always looks so sad and empty after Christmas comes down. :-(
That's a great picture of your family!!!! That mexican food sounds yum to me! Our favorite thing is to go out for Sunday lunch every week. We might not eat out all weekend - but we always eat out Sunday lunch! Today might have been our last quiet Sunday lunch. ha!

I stayed in my jammies all day yesterday too!!! It was such a yucky day! Momma came over last yesterday afternoon and we watched Romie and Michelle's High School Reunion and Shall we dance. Alvin grilled out for us before the storm got here.

I took down some of the Christmas decor yesterday and will take down the rest on Tuesday. Your right it is always sad, I like to leave the tree up for the month of January because it brings such happiness during the dreaded month of January.....but this year I'm taking it down early.

I bet your heart is aching a little right now because Kale and Kayla are gone. Mine has been aching on and off since Friday. I hate that feeling.....but, it will get better.

Love the picture of you guys and I especially LOVE Kayla's coat. OMG!!!

I took my Christmas decorations down today. It is sad to take it down but I hate to see a Christmas tree without gifts under it.

This sounds like a wonderful way to spend the holiday! So glad y'all had a good time together! I wish you and Kayla could come help me take down my decorations...I'm actually kind-of ready to take them down this year for some reason. I guess I'm ready to TRY to get the house organized and TRY to get prepared for Baby #3 around here!

Happy New Year!

P.S. We passed David on our way out of town yesterday--I waved, but I don't think he looked our way! :)

What a GREAT pic!! I love jammie days, although I don't do that often now that the knee no longer requires jammies all the time ~~ oh boo!! =)
