Fun in Fayetteville

After wrapping up our week of VBS, I had a service appointment for my car in Fayetteville.  Of course, I made the most of it and spent the night at Kale’s … cuz I’m lucky that way!  He and Kayla took me out to TGI Fridays for supper and I had the Dragon fire Chicken (since I’m trying to stay on target with my eating).  It was good, but is it just me or does TGIF’s really like sodium??

We made a quick trip to Walmart to get a few groceries before heading back to Kale’s for the evening.

This morning, Kayla and I went to TJ Maxx where I spent exactly $0 (a miracle), had Marketplace for lunch (ever try their fresh fruit with the blueberry poppyseed dressing?? Mmmm!), then, went to see…

Sad, sad, sad! But, it was SO good!! There wasn’t a dry eye in the theater, men included.  I cried from the beginning to the end.

We were torn between seeing this or “The Proposal”…

The Proposal

so, maybe next week Jodi and I can go see it!

I love summer movies.  The only thing better? Holiday movies.

Hi Jacquie,
Looks like you had a fun celebration after VBS! I've never eaten at TGIF's, but I tend to use a little too much salt, too. Love to shop at TJ Maxx and usually find some bargain I think I need.
Have a blessed Sunday!

Hi Jacquie,
I absolutely will not go see that movie - I knew it was going to be a sad one when I saw the previews and I'm not in the mood to cry! I do want to see The Proposal though - I love Sandra Bullock. I love the movies in the afternoon when not many folks go...a big bucket of popcorn and a diet coke are my idea of fun. :) blessings, marlene

I'm almost done reading My Sister's Keeper and it IS sad!! I want to see the movie, but I hate sad movies! I get the worst headaches from crying! :)

I haven't been to a movie in a long time, but if it makes me cry....I love it!! Must be a chick-flick!

Can't believe you bought nothing in TJMX!! Miracles happen!

I think that movie might be a little too much for me. So I'll pass this time...but The Proposal? Yeah, I think I'll be seeing that.

Glad you had a good week. We finished VBS this week too. I had so much fun. More than I imagined!

Glad you had fun with the kiddos! I don't know if I can bear to see "My Sisters Keeper". I embarassed myself sooooo bad at "Steel Magnolia's" and "Bridges of Madison County" years ago that I think they might truly throw me out if I show up again for another sad one. Oh......it's uuuuugly when I get to bawlin' at the movie.

Sounds like a great time in Fayetteville. I heard that movie was really good.

I dragged my hubbie to see "Up" a week or so ago. It was so cute. Definitely a childrens movie but that 3-D effect was really cool.

I love Summer and holiday movies, too! So glad you had a fun weekend--it is quite a feat to get out of
TJ Maxx (or Target, for me!) w/o spending any money!!!

Jacquie,
That sounds like so much fun. I heart Fayetville. We always have so much fun when we go there. We hike at Devils Den, about 30 mins from there, and stay in Fayetteville. Love it!!

That movie looks really sad. Dak has the book on hold at the library. He wants to read it first. He is cool like that!!!

Have a Blessed evening,
Dawn
