A New Day Has Dawned…

text_message

A couple of weeks ago, David came home and mentioned that for his next phone he wanted an iPhone.  I just laughed.  You have to know Dave to understand the humor in that statement.  David is not fond of technology.  He gets around pretty well with our DishNetwork remote.  And he does know how to answer his cell phone. But, that’s about the extent of it.  I’ve texted him so many times in the past and he never even knows he’s gotten a message! Ha!

So, when he said he wanted an iPhone, I was a little shocked.  I explained to him that it would be a good idea to work on his current phone using all its features before he wanted to take on the extra expense (and learning curve) of an iPhone.

So, the next morning, just after I got to work, my phone chimed and it was a text… from DAVE! It said, “are you still cold?” Ha!! I texted back and told him that my under-the-desk heater was cranked and that I’d be okay.  He then texted Kale… who texted me with “What the heck? Dad just texted me!”

Ever since, Dave’s been texting me a few times a day… I think we can say that we’ve officially taken our relationship to the next level.

Sounds like he's going to great lengths to get that iPhone, LOL! Ya know, I don't know much about cell phones, either--no service available where we live:(

My husband hasn't made it to the texting level yet, and I doubt that he does. He's just now learning how to retrieve his messages and he's had a phone 4 years! blessings, marlene

This is so hilarious! Mario is about the same. His boss suggested to him back in internship he should consider getting a blackberry. He never did. He has had the same, tired, broke phone for the longest...and every now and then he tried to text, it just took too long so it wasn't worth it, lol!

Last week, he got a blackberry and it has been so funny trying to help him use it. He was asking me to check something the other night when he thought he recieved something and then admitted he didn't know how to use it :) Gotta love that about them though :)

I love that my mom has started texting now!
