034 – Tales from the Empty Nest

I spent a quiet day at home.  Just me and the dog.

Sounds kinda sad, doesn’t it?

Dave was in the hay again.  But, after he got home we went out to eat…

…and then to get groceries. That about sums up my Saturday. Wonder what excitement my Sunday will bring??

I completely understand. It often seems our date night is to the grocery store or Wal-Mart. I hope you have a good rest of your weekend.

Life is just so much slower with no kids. Hope you enjoyed your night out eating Mexican, though!! And your new blog design looks GREAT! Faith does such a good job. :)

Being an 'empty nester' is hard at first, but will get better with time. Enjoy the peace and quiet!

Yummeee, I make homemade salsa from my garden tomatoes. Love chips and salsa......

Ditto on the hay field, hubby goes out everyday.....B is with her boyfriend, so I have the empty nest syndrom also! WE need to go garage sale'ing! LOL keep us moms busy, laughing and having fun!

This is why I have my corgi and my horses, I spend a lot of time with them and barrel racing! :)

Found your blog off Kelly's Korner. I am a "new" empty nestor, my 17 (soon18) daughter just graduated from High School and is off to college in Aug. I am presently trying to figure out a job to go get in the fall and trying to teach our mini dachsund how to talk to keep me from going bonkers! I know I have Christ to keep me company...but the "empty" nestor thing is new to me! Love my girls (other is 25 and moved out last year to become a teacher in FtMyers, Fl.) My husband is a very, very busy banker and works 6 days a week! Anyway come visit my blog and find out more about my Plan B! take care from Sarasota florida blessings!
