160–Family Day

We had such a great day! Daisy and Maddie stayed with us last night and Maddie had everyone’s attention early in the morning.

Tyler and Daisy went to the Turkey Trot this morning for a little while and David and Kale went to do a few things at the farm.  I had a lunch date at El Chico with my mom, two of my sisters (#3 and #4), my aunt, and some of my cousins.  It was so fun catching up on each other’s lives.

We watched the Arkansas/Texas A&M game this afternoon and then we went back to the farm for a bonfire and s’mores!  It’s still a little dry and not as chilly as we usually like when we have a bonfire, but it was still lots of fun.

David’s sister (Carla) and her family joined us for a while…so did a friend of David’s that he’s worked with at Ranger for over 30 years.  It was the end to a great day and a fun start to the fall season.
Kale goes home in the morning.  I cry every.single.time we have to leave him or him us.  I am in momma heaven when my family is together… but I know that he is ready to get back to Kayla and she is more than ready to have him home again – even if he has another trip on the calendar soon.
I am so thankful today for my sweet, sweet family and my fun and large extended family.
