247–New Title & New Mindset

Steve handed me a piece of mail today and told me that I must’ve got a promotion.

Bahahaha! No thanks, I don’t think I want that job.

On another note, I am working on my eating again.  I have really not eaten all that healthy for the last year or so.  And it shows on the scale.  I have about 10 pounds to lose (again) so I’m back to eating like this:

To be honest, I eat that for lunch nearly every single day (I know, I NEED to get rid of the Baked Lays, but I LOVE them!! Maybe next week.).  I am working on eating breakfast again… I’ve gotten to where I’m not eating in the mornings.  I’m also working on eating more healthy snacks so that I’m not starved to death by the time I get home … which makes me absolutely RAID the cabinets.  The quality of food you eat is reflected not only on the scale, but in the way your clothes fit, as well as your blood work, the health of your arteries, your pancreas, and all sorts of other ways.  I know all the right things to do, but if your mind is not in it… you won’t do well.  I’m working on getting my mind back in the game.  There’s no better time to start then when the holidays are over and a new year has begun!

I’m watching the Sugar Bowl right now, but I DVR’d the first episode of the new season of Biggest Loser.  I can’t wait to see the transformations and the changes they are making to the show.  I am hoping for less game-play and more focus on health and fitness! (I won’t hold my breath, though.)

Pastor Jacquie! Love it! I think you know we have a Morris cousin that's a pastor.

I'm in the same boat about needing to eat healthier. I totally agree that your mind needs to be completely focused on it or you won't do well. The holidays really messed me up, but it's a new year. Time for a fresh start. Good luck with your healthy eating goal!

Pastor Jacquie,
I receive mail at my work addressed to: Dr. Emilie Davis! Ha! I wish!

I'm right back there with you about the weight loss. I achieved Lifetime WeightWatcher status and when I weighed in this past month was only .2 lbs away from having to pay again! YIKES!

I know we can both get it off...even if we have to eat salads and Baked Lays every day! ( : Good Luck!

Dear Pastor Jacquie,
Your salad looks delicious! I need to start back eating healthier, too. I just about went into a cream cheese coma over Christmas!! :)

Love,
Betsy

I've been following Weight Watchers off and on for years. Since last Feb. 1 I've lost 21 lbs (after gaining and losing 4 lbs in the middle of that!)but still have some to go before I hit goal. I haven't even decided on a goal weight but my best guess now is 15-20 more lbs. I've learned to forgive myself when I fail one day and get back on it the next day. I'm on more days than off. It's taking a while to do it but I'm hoping for goal before June 1. Walking helps of course so when the weather is good I do that. I'll be glad to see spring! blessings, marlene

Jacquie, that is cute about your promotion! I am trying to get my head in the game with food and exercise. I am doing okay, but it is hard.

Hi Jacquie!

I love your blog! I stumbled onto some products through my mom that offer energy & weight loss (among other things) and I LOVE them! My husband started the weight loss a month ago and has already lost 10 pounds. I use the energy drinks that are not just sugar and caffine, but are packed with nutrients too!
website is www.advocare.com/10126711.

Just an idea to supplement eating healthy!
