268–Look, Mom!

012511

I had a dental appointment today for a cleaning.  The hygienist generously offered me a full set of x-rays (not just the puny bitewings) and I jumped at the chance.  Eighteen pictures and about four gags later, she moved on to the actual cleaning.  Which was quite pleasant since I fully believe in the miracle of Colgate Total…that pesky scraping is almost non-existent.

I have been dreading this appointment for a while since the tooth that had the root canal and crown last Spring has the ability to trap the equivalent of a four course meal and I am a walking commercial for Glide flossers.  I hate to tell them there’s even a hint of a problem because that pretty much means before I know what hit me I’ll be feet up in the air with a drill in my mouth… and paying for it with our precious retirement funds.  But, the dentist assured me there’s an easy fix and I should be as good as new after my appointment in March.

In the end… I’m happy to report I had no cavities!!

Look Mom

Now, to get David’s two or three crowns taken care of.

Love your heart! Glad it's only a minor thing to have fixed!

I pulled one of Anna's teeth tonight and I'm also just now able to eat solid foods and not have pain! :)

I'm way more afraid of the dentist now than I was as a kid for some reason?! Probably because I've had a root canal--ha! Not fun!

I have a small forture of dental work in my mouth and live in fear of something going wrong and having to re-do it!

Wanna know something weird? I'm ALLERGIC to Colgate Total. I finally quit trying to use it. It makes my tongue numb and itchy. It's the weirdest thing. My dentist (in Arkansas) told me it's probably one of the ingredients--can't think of the name of it). I buy it for my kids but John and I use Crest. And I need to schedule some dental appts for all of us...DREAD it so much.

Congrats on a good checkup! :)

Congratulations! That's always good news...though I love my dentist I'd just as soon not have to spend more time with him. :) blessings, marlene

It's crazy how much that costs. You almost have to take out a loan for it. Glad you got a good report.
