310–Refrigerator Art

030811 (2)

This letter (dated in November) came in the mail last week.  It is from our Compassion child, Amit.  I am always so excited to hear from him.  When we began sponsoring him, he was five years old – now he is seven.  Our letters used to have a few crayon marks where they let him write something to us… this time there were the two sweet pictures you see above.  (It doesn’t take much to make me want to cry.)

The average income for Amit’s family, and families like his,  is $40 per MONTH. Forty dollars.  Our sponsorship basically matches one month’s salary. I don’t think I could do anything more rewarding for $38 a month.

Last month, Compassion sent us an updated picture.  I keep it on my fridge.  It does my heart good to see him every day and it serves as a reminder to pray for him and his family in India.  Isn’t he precious???

Now, just take a look at that backdrop.  Breaks my heart, people.  Breaks my heart.

If you would like to sponsor a child, click on the link on my sidebar (or on the picture of Amit).

God love. He is beautiful and how precious is that artwork. You have blessed me with this post.

We have no idea how blessed we are to be here and the opportunities that are before us. May God bless that little boy and his family and may He bless you for sponsoring him.
