349–Fun Saturday

Daisy and I spent the ENTIRE day shopping while Tyler and Maddie had a “date”.  We MIGHT have eaten at the Olive Garden and had Zeppoli for dessert! (Always makes me think of you, Kayla-girl!! Only a month left!) It was a fun girl’s day and it’s not often that Daisy gets a shopping day without a three year-old to keep under control. Ha!
We stopped at my Mom and Dad’s house on the way home.  My sister, Kristin #11, and her family are in for a visit.  Tyler and Maddie met us up there.  Maddie loves Kristin’s kids, Erik and Sophia. Here they are playing in the “wood box”…

Check out that hair on Sophia!!
I took Maddie home with me while Tyler started his second “date” for the day… this time with Daisy.  Mads wasn’t too happy when her momma left her to go with Tyler, so while I was driving (and Mads was wailing) I distracted her by asking her to tell me about “Tangled”.  She told me the whole story from beginning to end.  Then she said, “What happened to Snow White?” And I tried to remember the story and told it to her best I could.  She wanted me to tell her another story, so I told her about “Cinderella”.  I remembered that one pretty well, so I really elaborated on that one.  Then we moved on to “Sleeping Beauty” and then she wanted me to tell her about “Cinderella” again. We spent the entire drive home (about 30 minutes) telling Disney stories.  Every time I said, “and they lived happily ever after,” she would say, “THE END!”  Love her!!
When I got home, Dave had done the dishes and was standing in front of the dishwasher looking at it.  The house smelled like something was hot or something… and he said, “I think our dishwasher is about to go out! I think the motor is burning up and I’ve been keeping an eye on it.”  I asked him if I could open it and he let me, so… I did and there was a plastic spoon in the bottom touching the heat element. Haha!!

What a fun day you had! Maddie is adorable. I love hearing her sayings. I remember Sophia when you posted when she was born. She still has so much hair. She'll love that later.

I LOVE fun girl shopping days! We had one in TN last weekend and I had so much fun.

Those kiddos are so cute. I love Sophia's hair do!

Our girls have always loved the princess stories and they now have that Tangled movie completely memorized! I think they stopped counting how many times they've watched it!

That does sound like a fun weekend. Glad your dishwasher wasn't burning out.
