My cell phone rang today when I was taking my carb-induced Sunday nap… it was an unknown number and I considered not answering it. I went ahead and (sleepily) answered, and heard this southern voice on the other end saying, “I’m SO disappointed your not playing tennis in Flippin today!!” I was like WHAT? And then explained that we were going to play when Jodi got back from her sister’s and then asked, “Who is this?” She says, “Becky”. I said, “Becky H…” (a girl I know)… and she says “Looking through the Eyes of Luv, Becky”.
I thought she was teasing me, and she kept insisting that her and Alvin were, sure enough, in Flippin. I got so excited and told her to park it and I would come meet them.
So, I asked Dave if he wanted to go with me and he said, “Sure!”
It was so fun and so natural meeting both Becky and Alvin. I’ve talked with her on the phone a couple of times before, but meeting her was just a blast. She is just as fun in person as she is on her blog.
And cute as a button!!
(Sorry about the sweats, I just woke up, remember!)
Just before they had to go, Jodi came by with her Chihuahua, Ava.
Becky is my first blog friend that I’ve been able to meet in “real life”… and if this is any indication of how fun it is, I want to meet all of you!!
Seriously, Alvin and Becky better be glad we don’t live in Newport, we’d be at their house all the time!! Thanks for calling me, Bec. (It would’ve been SO funny if you’d have found us at the park like you planned. Ha!)

My head is still spinning!!! lol I seriously think we could have spent the rest of the afternoon together and never stopped talking.
Jacquie, you and Dave are just as precious as I knew you would be. This blogging thing is crazy. I seriously feel as though I've known you all my life. You're right, if we lived in the same town we would be hanging out at all times.
And, getting to meet Jodi was the icing on the cake. I just realized I have Ava's name wrong on FB. Maybe Jodi and Ava will forgive me!!! lol
Sooooooooooooo fun!!!!!
I have had SO much fun each time I've met a blog friend. It's always strange - you feel like old friends who haven't seen each other in a while - very surreal!
What a fun surprise and so funny she went to the tennis courts to find you! ha!
How cool is that! It is so true that you feel connected to people that you read about on blogs. You consider them friends. I think it is awesome that you two got to meet in person.
I haven't met any of my blogger friends in person, but it would be so cool!!!

I love it! I've met one of my blog friends and talked to another on the phone and it was such fun. Between blogs and facebook I feel like I've gotten to know so many people that I would never have met before. That's just the neatest thing! blessings, marlene
