In Memory

Rosemary Hood
October 20, 1938 - October 8, 2008

A Memorial Mass for Rosemary Hood of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, October 11, 2008, at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church with Reverend James Fanrak as celebrant. Mrs. Hood, who was 69 years old, died Wednesday, October 8, 2008, at her residence surrounded by loved ones.

Rosemary was born October 20, 1938, in Orillia, Ontario, Canada, the daughter of Howard and Bea Morris. She married Richard V. Hood, February 15, 1958, in Orange, California, and celebrated 50 years of marriage this year. Rosemary had lived in Mountain Home since 1989, but was a resident of Arkansas since 1977, moving from Garden Grove, California.

She loved life and was a blessing to all who knew her. She was a devoted Catholic and member of St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church. She served as a Eucharistic Minister for many years and shared her faith by Christian example throughout her life. She was a wonderful wife, mother, homemaker and friend. She held a career as a legal secretary in Mountain Home for 15 years, and was admired and respected by her associates. She loved spending time with her family and friends, and some of her best times were spent each summer relaxing on the family’s boat on Lake Norfork. She loved to laugh, and she lived life to the fullest. She will be truly missed, but there is comfort and peace in knowing that she is in the presence of the Lord.

Mrs. Hood is survived by her husband Richard Hood of Mountain Home; daughter Linda Sims of Corona, California; daughter Lori Hood of Mountain Home; son Brian Hood of New York, New York; son Bruce Hoodswain of Plano, Texas; son Alan Hood of West Plains, Missouri; and daughter Allison Menke of Fort Worth, Texas; thirteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and brother Don Morris of Orange, California; sister Pat Goulet of Pyatt, Arkansas; brother Jim Morris of Frisco, Texas; brother Mike Morris and sister Karen Dobbins, both of Mountain Home.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks.
