This snow has worn me out. I have worried and worried about getting to Little Rock to fly out. We were supposed to fly out this morning, but it snowed ALL DAY yesterday… so Continental changed our flights to leave tomorrow morning instead. We decided to get a head start and leave this afternoon. We thought if we at least got to Conway we could finish the rest of the trip in the morning. Here’s what the roads still look like tonight.
We took a little longer route to avoid some pretty curvy Ozark mountain roads but even the safer route had lots of miles of roads that looked like these…
David decided to stay home (mostly cattle and work related), so it’s just Tyler, Daisy, Maddie and me this trip. This is pretty much what Maddie did the whole drive south to Conway.
We’re staying in a hotel tonight… for supper we met up with a sweet family friend who is going to college here. She and Tyler graduated high school together…they’ve actually been best of friends since they were about a year old. It was such a treat to get to see her and her boyfriend. (We missed you, Lizzie!)

Maddie is SUPER wound up in this hotel room. Earlier, Tyler went for some water and some chocolate (for me) and as soon as he left, I found her in the corner like this. She said she was going to say, “surprise! when TyTy comes in”! Silly girl.
I have worried so much about the road conditions that I haven’t even thought about getting on that plane yet… I guess it’s time to start worrying about that.
