Today is Ms. Charlsie’s 92nd birthday. I called her this morning and asked her how it felt to be 92… and she said, “I haven’t been 92 long enough to tell a difference.” Ha! She cracks me up.
David and I took her a birthday gift early this morning…
I wasn’t too excited about buying her this windmill, but as soon as she saw it I knew it made her happy. She had David put it in the yard where she could see it while she sits on her couch. She sat and watched it blowing (we had 20-30mph wind gusts today) and had a big smile on her face. When we left, I told Dave that I never realized something so simple could give her such joy.
I am so grateful for the years we’ve had with Ms. Charlsie and pray for many more!
PS – Can you believe Christmas is 3 weeks from today??
